Privacy without the creepiness.

SMRTLNK stores the minimum information needed to run artist accounts and pages. We do not sell personal information and do not build advertising profiles from visitors.

What we store

Artist applications include the artist or band name, account email, public music link, consent time and review status. Approved accounts also store a securely hashed password, login sessions, profile content, uploaded images and publishing history. Beta feedback stores the category, reply email, optional profile link, message and handling status.

Public page visitors

Public artist profiles do not use advertising trackers. To give an artist private, first-party Insights, SMRTLNK records a random per-page visit ID, the artist project viewed, page load, outbound destination clicks, whether the visit used the artist’s QR link and whether the page stayed visible for at least 10 or 30 seconds. Insights do not store an IP address, user agent or fingerprint, and do not claim an exact time on page. Basic security and aggregate operational logs may separately include an IP address, device information, requested page and time. These are used to keep the service working and safe—not to follow visitors around the internet.

Who processes data

Cloudflare hosts the application, database, media and security controls. Resend delivers transactional account email when configured. Streaming and social links are opened only when a visitor chooses them, and those external services then apply their own policies.

Optional support payments

Buy Me a Coffee processes optional support payments on its own site. It may collect payment details and any name, email or message a supporter provides. SMRTLNK does not collect card details on smrtlnk.page. Any supporter information available to SMRTLNK is used only to acknowledge and administer that support.

Cookies

Backstage uses a necessary, secure session cookie so artists can stay signed in. Public profiles do not need an account cookie.

Retention and deletion

Unapproved application details may be removed from Owner Admin. Feedback stays in a private owner-only review list until it is handled or no longer useful. Artists can request export, correction or deletion of their account, profile and feedback. Security and backup copies may take a short period to expire.
