Founding beta terms

Free, independent and still a beta.

These terms keep the founding beta useful and fair while SMRTLNK is being built alongside independent artists.

The service

Approved artists receive a free hosted profile and private Backstage. The founding beta has no card requirement, trial countdown or surprise paywall. Features, limits and availability may change as the service develops, with reasonable notice where practical.

Your account

Use accurate account details, protect your password and tell us promptly about unauthorised access. Each founding artist place is intended for one genuine artist or band and one profile unless agreed otherwise.

Your content

You keep ownership of your names, words, images, artwork and links. You grant SMRTLNK permission to store, resize and publicly display the content needed to operate your profile. Only upload material you own or are allowed to use.

Fair use limits

The founding beta currently allows one profile, 10 MB per image and 20 MB of stored images per profile. Abusive automation, impersonation, malware, unlawful content and attempts to disrupt the service are not permitted.

Availability

This is an early community project provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted service. We will act reasonably to protect artist data and give notice of material changes, but artists should keep copies of their own links and media.

Ending access

An artist may request deletion at any time. SMRTLNK may suspend content that is unlawful, infringes rights, threatens security or materially abuses the service, normally after contacting the artist where practical.
